We are on the road from Kingston New York, where we spent the night on the way to Montreal. Unfortunately, you got sick last night and continue your role as “Barf Boy” this morning. We already had to stop for 45 minutes for you ( and that was only 15 minutes after leaving the hotel!) but now you seem to be feeling better and I have a made a doctor’s appointment for you in Montreal for later this afternoon. It was probably that pool in Virginia Beach that gave you some infection. We haven’t decided whether to go back next year or not.
You had such a great time at the Beach. You loved playing in the sand and riding the waves with Dad in your inflatable Tarzan ring. You got swamped quite a few times by huge waves but you loved every second of it. You were buried in the sand up to your neck along with Aaron—we called you boys the two-headed monster! You also started swimming for real in the pool there. You can now swim not only under water but above water. You loved to jump in off the side (in fact you were even trying to do back dives!) and swim to the side of the pool over and over again!
We even were able to take you out to a restaurant for dinner for the first time in 3 years! You were almost manageable!
We are traveling in the most technical of vehicles – you kids are watching a video on our in-car TV while I write the journals on our laptop computer while Dad monitors our radar detector! Of course, Dad is in seventh heaven with all this technology! (note from Dad: By the time you read this, it will probably seem pretty normal, maybe even retro, but trust us - we’re pretty cutting edge right now!)
You are enamored with “mogocycles” right now and you were in seventh heaven when we actually watched two riders get ready and take off on their Harleys at one of the hotels we stayed at.
You love to twirl your hair when you’re sleepy. It’s like your own portable blankie!
Who was the least happy about this picture? 😀
Look out for the wave!
What a work of art!
